Tapping out and Buying a House with the Real Estate Tax Benefit

Not tapping out when you’re in a arm bar is hard but buying a home can be harder. People have a hard time getting homes especially in today’s market and economy. Buying first home, for new home buyers, is usually the hardest compared to buying a new home, for previous home owners. Times are changing thanks to Coldwell Banker. Instead of 6500 dollars of credit (3250 when filing separate), first time home buyers that are married get 8000 dollars or 4000 dollars of credit when filed separately, which is a real estate tax benefit . Current home owners must have used the home, sold or being sold, as the principle residence consecutively 5 of the 8 previous years. First time home buyer on the other hand need to only have not had a primary residence for the past 3 years. Both first time buyers and previous home owners have a binding contract rule to where as long as a binding to purchase is in effect on April 30, 2010 the home buyer will have until June 30, 2010 to close. Restrictions are a yearly income of 125,000 dollars for singles and 225,000 dollars for couples. 800,000 dollars is the limitation cost for home purchased. If you are a dependent you instantly ineligible for the services Coldwell Banker provide. Tax returns must be present.

Kimbo Slice Knocked Out by Seth Petruzelli in 14 seconds. This was Kimbo’s first loss – and what a loss it was…

Kevin Ferguson (born on February 8, 1974), better known as Kimbo Slice, is a Miami, Florida-based street fighter turned mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He first appeared in several filmed underground fights which have spread primarily on the Internet. Kimbo has since left street fighting behind and is now putting his efforts towards becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter. Rolling Stone called Slice “The King of the Web Brawlers”

Kimbo Slice began his career in unsanctioned street fights. A notable street fight was with Sean Gannon, a former Boston Police officer who trains in MMA. In a brutal fight Kimbo lost for the first time. [6] The popularity of the fight, which was distributed throughout the internet, propelled both men into the MMA spotlight.

To prepare for sanctioned MMA fights, Slice was trained by retired MMA fighter Bas Rutten. Slice made his sanctioned MMA debut against former WBO Heavyweight champion boxer Ray Mercer at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 5, in Atlantic City on June 23, 2007. The match was scheduled as a three-round exhibition utilizing all professional rules of MMA combat. Slice defeated Mercer with a guillotine choke at 1:12 into the first round.[7] In a post-fight interview, Slice stated that he would like to fight David “Tank” Abbott. Abbott, who was a spectator, stood up from his seat and accepted the call out. One of the matchmakers for CFFC asked Slice for his assurance so that an October 12 bout at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 6 between Slice and “Tank” Abbott could be organized. This event was later canceled due to a promotion dispute. On October 11, 2007, ProElite announced that they had signed Slice to a deal and that he would make his debut on the November 10, 2007 EliteXC.[8] Originally set to make his professional MMA debut against Mike Bourke, the reformed street fighter was set to face Bo Cantrell after Bourke sustained a shoulder injury.[9] Kimbo defeated Cantrell 19 seconds into the first round by submission due to strikes.

Slice will be featured on The Iron Ring, a new television series airing on BET which features MMA prospects. Slice will be a part of the selection process for the participants.[10]

On February 16, 2008, Kimbo fought Tank Abbott in the main event at EliteXC: Street Certified. He won by KO 43 seconds into the first round due to strikes. At the fight his weight was announced at an all-time low of 234lbs, a far cry from his street fighting days of 280lbs.

On May 31, 2008, Kimbo fought in the main event of the first ever mixed martial arts event shown on prime time network television, EliteXC: Primetime. Though one of the judges had each fighter winning one of the first two rounds, Kimbo’s opponent James Thompson won both on total points by repeatedly taking down Slice and grounding and pounding. In the opening seconds of the third round, however, Kimbo threw a haymaker to Thompson’s left ear, which ruptured Thompson’s cauliflower. This was soon followed by three unanswered punches to a standing Thompson, which led to a referee stoppage and a controversial win for Slice. Fellow EliteXC competitor Brett Rogers was particularly critical of Slice’s victory, calling Slice’s performance “garbage” in a post fight interview.

A Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock fight was signed for October 4, 2008 to take place at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida as part of CBS’ “Saturday Night Fights”. Seth Petruzelli replaced Shamrock due to a cut to the left eye during warm ups only hours before the fight was to take place. Petruzelli defeated Slice by TKO 14 seconds into the bout.

Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked – Cage The Elephant Lyrics

2 Aint No Rest For The Wicked Cage The Elephant LyricsI was walking down the street,
When out the corner of my eye
I saw a pretty little thing approaching me.
She said “I’ve never seen a man
Who looks so all alone,
Could you use a little company?

If you can pay the right price
Your evening will be nice,
And you can go and send me on my way.”
I said “You’re such a sweet young thing
Why you do this to yourself?”
She looked at me and this is what she said:

“Oh, there ain’t no rest for the wicked,
Money don’t grow on trees.
I got bills to pay,
I got mouths to feed,
There ain’t nothing in this world for free.
I know I can’t slow down,
I can’t hold back,
Though you know, I wish I could.
No there ain’t no rest for the wicked,
Until we close our eyes for good”.

Not even fifteen minutes later
I’m still walking down the street,
When I saw a shadow of a man creep out of sight.
And then he sweeps up from behind
And puts a gun up to my head,
He made it clear he wasn’t looking for a fight.

He said “Give me all you’ve got
I want your money not your life,
But if you try to make a move I won’t think twice.”
I go like “You can have my cash
But first you know I got to ask
What made you want to live this kind of life?”

He said “There ain’t no rest for the wicked,
Money don’t grow on trees.
I got bills to pay,
I got mouths to feed,
There ain’t nothing in this world for free.
I know I can’t slow down,
I can’t hold back,
Though you know, I wish I could.
No there ain’t no rest for the wicked,
Until we close our eyes for good”.

Now a couple hours have passed
And I was sitting at my house,
The day was winding down and coming to an end.
So I turned on the TV
And flipped it over to the news,
And what I saw I almost couldn’t comprehend.

I saw a preacher man in cuffs he’d taken money from the church,
He stuffed his bank account with righteous dollar bills.
But even still I can’t say much
Because I know we’re all the same,
oh yes we all seek out to satisfy those thrills

“Oh, there ain’t no rest for the wicked,
Money don’t grow on trees.
We got bills to pay,
We got mouths to feed,
There ain’t nothing in this world for free.
I know we can’t slow down,
We can’t hold back,
Though you know, we wish we could.
No there ain’t no rest for the wicked,
Until we close our eyes for good”

Dan ‘The Outlaw’ Hardy Tribute – Rooftops

2 Dan The Outlaw Hardy Tribute RooftopsDan Hardy is an English professional mixed martial artist who competes in the welterweight division. A professional MMA competitor since 2004, Hardy fought in various promotions such as Cage Force and Cage Warriors before signing a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2008. He is the current Cage Warriors welterweight and light-welterweight champion. His nickname comes from the time he spent on the CageWarriors.com forums under the name “The Outlaw”. At the time, Hardy was looking for new training partners after his former coach and him could not see eye-to-eye. Hardy is currently ranked by Sherdog as the #4 welterweight fighter in the world. Hardy had been training in Tae Kwon Do since he was six years old. He moved on when taekwondo went down the Olympic route. He wanted real fights, so switched to Muay Thai instead. Hardy only became interested in Mixed Martial Arts after spending two months in China training with the Shaolin monks in 2002.[5] He then came back to England and competed in amateur MMA tournaments until his professional debut in 2004. Hardy is a member of Team Rough House alongside Paul Daley, Andre Winner and Dean Amasinger. Hardy has also spent time training at Xtreme Couture, Leicester Shootfighters and the Wildcard Boxing Gym.[5] He just received his Purple Belt in 10th planet jiu jitsu from Eddie Bravo. Hardy made his UFC debut at UFC 89, defeating Akihiro Gono via split decision. Gono was left swollen and bloody by several of Hardy’s left hooks. Gono rocked Hardy on more than one occasion. In the third round Gono pushed Hardy to the canvas and while there landed an illegal knee to the face of the downed fighter causing the fight to be stopped for a lengthy period. Hardy recovered and went on to win the split decision. The judges saw the bout 2928 (twice) for Hardy and 2928 for Gono. Dan Hardy beat Rory Markham at UFC 95 in the first round (1:09) by KO with a clean counter left hook. A follow-up shot on the mat brought in Kevin Mulhall to stop the fight. In his post-fight interview, Hardy retorted to Markham’s pre-fight accusation that he had weak hands by exclaiming to the ecstatic crowd, “No punching power? What do you have to say about that? Dan Hardy next defeated Marcus Davis via split decision at UFC 99 on June 13, 2009. The grudge between these two men began with the Irish-American Davis fighting in the UK against local fighters and defeating them all in spectacular fashion. Hardy stated that the UK was his home and he did not want Davis in it, building a fan base. It started to get personal when Hardy began openly insulting Davis calling him a fake Irishman and stating that Davis’ website “looked like a St. Patrick’s day gift shop blew up.” Afterwards, on an UK underground MMA website, Hardy encouraged fans to post photoshopped pictures of Davis in a homosexual fashion. The pictures upset Davis, causing him to confront Hardy at a UFC 99 press conference. The two continued to argue, but finally agreed to settle it in the cage. After a three round war, the judges at UFC 99 awarded the fight to Dan Hardy. Marcus Davis stormed out of the cage ignoring Hardy’s attempts to make peace. Davis told reporters that he wants a rematch with Hardy in Ireland or Boston. Hardy insists in his post-fight interview with Davis (and after the event to fans) that all of controversy was an effort to get Davis off his game-plan and nothing personal. On November 14, 2009 at UFC 105 he faced Mike Swick who replaced an injured Kim Dong-hyun.. At a press conference in Manchester Hardy and Swick discussed the winner of their fight getting a title shot against Georges St. Pierre. Hardy was the underdog coming into the fight, but managed to rock Swick early in the first round with a straight right hand which appeared to dent the American’s confidence. Swick appeared to be uncomfortable standing toe-to-toe with the Englishman and Hardy proceeded to rock him again in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Hardy won the fight by unanimous decision and booked his place as the number 1 contender for Georges St-Pierre’s Welterweight title. In being awarded the title shot, Hardy became the first British fighter in UFC history to receive one. UFC President Dana White confirmed at the post-fight press conference that the fight will most likely be held in Las Vegas. Dan stated in a post-fight interview with Sherdog.com that the next event in Las Vegas (UFC 109) in February was a little too early for him and he would much rather wait. Hardy is currently ranked the number 4 welterweight in the world by Sherdog.com. Hardy will fight Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title on March 27, 2010 at UFC 111 which will take place in Newark, NJ.
