WWE Fight Bobby 2010

http://bobby-lashley-vs-chad-griggs.notlong.com

No one really gave Chad Griggs much of a chance against former professional wrestler Bobby Lashley at Strikeforce: Houston. Guess we all should’ve known that anyone they call “The Grave Digger” has a chance.

About 10 seconds into the opening round, Lashley took Griggs down easily. Soon after, he moved to side mount. From there, Griggs kept trying to tie Lashley up while the former professional wrestler worked some ground and pound. Some booing followed, as Griggs was somewhat successful in staying out of trouble. Then at the 2:30 mark, Griggs got to his feet. He tried to strike, but found himself up in the air and then back down on the canvas for his efforts. Then Griggs got up again, and as Lashley pressed him up against the cage wall, Griggs landed a hard knee to the midsection. After a referee separation,

At my age could I still start in mixed martial arts?

I am 18 years old, and I would like to know if I should still pursue my desire to learn mixed martial arts despite my age.

18 is perfect, I expected to see a 50 something year old when I clicked on this.

Start now, Your at a perfect age.

Let the speculation begin… Who will be Wanderlei Silva’s next opponent in the UFC?

UFC finally agreed on a contract with Wanderlei Silva. Who will be Silva’s next opponent in the UFC?

http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&gid=7253

They would like it to be with Liddell but because he is fighting Jardine in September he might not be ready to fight in Dec which is when it looks like Silva will be fighting.

Silva Listed some names he would like to fight if he can’t have liddell first.Lyoto Machida, Tito Ortiz and babalu were the two that came right off the bat.

He said that he wants no Easy matches but he wouldn’t be opposed to a Tune Up Match(IE someone he should beat but at the same time someone who will challenge him in some aspect of his game and make him work for the win)

The two names that come to my mind right off the bat for that are

Wilson Gouveia
Alessio Sakara

I don’t see Bonnar as an Option because I don’t think the UFC wants to have him destroyed and that would be the most likely scenerio if he is in there with Silva. Bonnar has a tendency to take shots and while he is a tough guy Silva is very tough and always comes at you and has alot of power(more then anyone Bonnar has faced yet)

Rumble Fish – A Movie Review

http://www.examiner.com/lawrence-liberal-in-topeka/devin-waugh

We return to those opulent, violent and often embarrassing 1980′s in today’s LLE movie review segment by examining the classic 1983 Francis Ford Coppola film, Rumble Fish. Set in a past its prime industrial New York town and imagined by S.E. Hinton of Outsiders fame, this harsh and gritty Black & White film refamiliarizes reminds us how difficult the journey of maturing can be, especially when influential older siblings and cruel social conditions may surround us.

Through this poignant, philosophical tale we get to follow our disconnected and confused anti-hero Rusty James (Matt Dillon) through his daily grinds of “Never being good enough,” and his deep seated frustrations over his belief he was born too late in history be truly cool or respected. Forced out of school, his circle of friends and the warm arms of Diane Lane, Rusty spends most of the show desperately trying to recreate the no-so-good family name his older brother, the Motorcycle Boy (Rourke), once created.

Twisting, turning, fighting and bleeding to the imaginative sound tracked tunes of former Police man, Stewart Copeland, this remarkable motion picture revolves around Rourke’s fascination with Siamese fighting fish held captive at a local pet store, which we find later is actually a raw metaphor for the territoriality, exclusion and hostility that bubbles below our supposedly advanced and civilized society.

If you check this film out, be sure to look for the young Nick Cage Coppola, the late Christopher Penn, the dreamy Diane Lane, veteran drunk Dennis Hopper, the flashy Laurence Fishburne, the scratchy Tom Waits as Benny, and even a rare cameo appearance by S.E. Hinton herself, who appears as a Boardwalk prostitute in the show. If great acting isn’t your particular shot of bourbon, then simply see this film for the extraordinary cinematography and the imperative message it provides about rigid institutions, abusive authority figures and learning there is more to life than just living through it.
