Are there any martial art gyms that focus more on disabling someone, rather than for sport?
I am not saying I want to walk around disabling people, but when it is time to defend yourself, these martial arts do things for the sport you could not use in an actual fight (because they are too fancy to pull off in an actual fight). I am leaning more toward the special forces hand to hand combat training. However, I dont want to join SF just to lean the hand to hand training. Is there any gym that does not specify in MMA or sport, but rather straight up, throws, slipping pnches, throat shots slams and ect. Basically HARDCORE Judo, Jujitsu, and Wrestling ect, not something you’d try and use in a cage match. Things people can actually use in a fight. I mean, I was watching on the news that a U.S. Air Force blue beret was approached by a kick boxing[muay thai] state champ or something, and the Blue beret guy warned him not to further his aggression, but he didn’t listen and got knocked out, a broken elbow and dislocated shoulder. Who and where teaches this real stuff? Military style fighting is far better than all this karate nd kung fu crap.
I have been looking for a good gym like this here in Lexington, Kentucky. I know i’m not going to be anyone like Jason Bourne, but im just trying to explain where im coming from..
I forgot to mention that I took kung fu, but the defence and offence isnt that great…. So i would like to stay away from all the karate and kung fu and all the things that require a black bent to use in a street fight.
Does any martial art center teach Military "Combatives"? I mean, there has to be someone who’s went through all the military hand to hand training and loved it so much that when he got out, decided to teach it to the public…
Wow, I hate to tell you this but the "military style of fighting" is called "combatives" and there are several different styles of it, so have fun with finding a good one. The other thing is that combatives comes from systems like Karate & Kung-Fu also combatives has the opposite problem as conventional MA.
You see most martial arts drill you on the basics to develop the skill need to get to the real fighting techniques; I know thats BS. Combatives gives you the effective stuff but doesn’t drill you on anything to develop skill, and that is a different type of BS; being able to know how to crush someone’s throat with one strike but not having the skill needed to do so.

The Fight
SUMMARY: Light is drifting in darkness until he lands, thus, expanding his light to the world, destroying the darkness that Darkness, the Shadow caused. After he lands the second time, Darkness falls out of the sky and lands in front of him. Darkness used telekinesis to push Light into a wall and then tries to run into him, but stops when Light punches him. Darkness then jumps and goes into a portal. After returning back home, Light blasts into the sky, and unknowingly runs into a time loop and blasts off into the sky again. He then almost gets hit by Shadow’s rocket. After missing, Darkness blasts off into the sky, followed by Light. They fight in space for a short time and is pulled back down to Battle Planet by gravity. When they hit the ground, Light quickly gets up and sends a shock wave through the ground which hits Darkness and sends him flying through the clouds. Before he lands, he goes through a portal to the ground and creates a ball of time which flies to Light and sends him back in time to when the fight first started. He realized the actions happening again and grabs onto Darkness when he teleports (as seen in the beginning). When they land, it’s a normal super fight, punches and kicks, dodges and blasts.
In space, Light and Darkness are fighting and then Darkness throws Light and follows him. After throwing Darkness, Light creates 499 duplicates and attacks Darkness, with an explosion range that wipes out the space in between Battle Planet’s Canada and Greenland. Under water, Light sneak-attacks Darkness and sends both of them flying through the air and into space. They stop at an asteroid and fly to Battle Planet’s Antarctica where they fight in a shack. After they bust out through the ceiling, one of their short fights take place underground. After they burst out of the ground, they fly into the Sun. On the Sun, Light still has the pencil that he took from the shack and uses it to make a cannon and shoots Darkness with it. After he gets up, he tries to catch Light, but Light hits him with a blast. Weakened by the Sun, Darkness was hit by Light several times until he catches him in a dark beam and flies off of the Sun. He takes them to Battle Planet’s South America where they quickly destroy a volcano and fly away. Darkness tries to throw Light, but Light uses the pencil and catches onto air with it and swings back to Darkness, filled with explosive energy which moves the entire planet 48 light-years away.
Darkness resumes their fight with a lightning sword and hits Light with it. When Light lands, he kicks Darkness into a wall and they both fly off in different directions. When they stop in mid-air, they fly into each other and Light gets the upper hand and throws Darkness into the air. He then gets out his pencil and flees. Darkness comes out of the ground in a shadow and covers the world in darkness again and Light gets rid of it again after being thrown around by the camouflaged Darkness. He realizes that Darkness is still there and flies into him and throws him to the ground. After he lands, he makes a cage around Darkness and takes him to a mountain where he crashes and purposely breaks the cage while still holding Darkness. He Flies out into space and lands on an asteroid two light-years away and then punches Darkness, then flies off back to Battle Planet. Two light-years away from the asteroid and back on Battle Planet, Light throws Darkness into jail.

The Secret Avengers, joined by Storm and the Black Panther, reach the Riker’s Island penitentiary and head through the portal to the 42 complex, but the team is confronted by the pro-registration supporters, revealing that each team had placed a spy on the other. Hulkling is able to release the incarcerated heroes from the cells of the 42 complex in the guise of Henry Pym, making the odds more even.
Cloak moves the battle to the center of New York City. Namor and an army of Atlanteans join the battle alongside the Secret Avengers, followed by the Thor clone and Captain Marvel on the pro-registration side. Vision II disrupts Iron Man’s armor and Captain America is able to subdue him. On the battlefield, Mister Fantastic is shot while trying to save the Invisible Woman from the Taskmaster, who is in turn pulverized by one of Sue’s invisible fields, and Hercules crushes the skull of the Thor clone. As the battle rages on, the city is badly damaged. The Thing shows up in order to protect citizens from harm. Captain America’s side seems victorious as Iron Man lies on the ground waiting for Captain America to deliver the finishing blow. Just before he can hit, several standard cops, EMTs, and firefighters hold him back, and he realizes how much damage the fighting has caused to the general population that they all want to protect. Wishing to avert any more unnecessary bloodshed, Cap surrenders and the team follows suit. Many of the Secret Avengers are given amnesty by the government, while Captain America is placed in jail.
Two weeks later, the Fifty State Initiative is launched and the Mighty Avengers assemble as a team. Tony Stark is appointed Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., while Maria Hill is demoted to deputy status. Some heroes move to Canada, while some stay underground, such as the New Avengers (Luke Cage as leader, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Spider Woman, Dr. Strange,and Ronin). In front of his New Avengers teammates Luke Cage and Doctor Strange, Spider-Man sorrowfully dons his black costume after Aunt May is critically injured by a sniper, later revealed to have been hired by the Kingpin in response to the unveiling of his identity. At the end of the series, Tony Stark tells Miriam Sharpe “the best is yet to come sweetheart…That’s a promise”.
