why won’t the RSPCA help?
My neighbours abuse their dogs, they make them fight, they lock them in either a small cage or an even smaller one when they separate them neither have shelter. they live in their back garden so i can see everything. i phoned the rspca on the owners two years ago for tying (the then a puppy) so tightly to a trampoline that it couldn’t sit down without strangling itself. I think the rspca warned them im not sure but they didn’t do it again. The other day the younger dog was locked in the smaller metal cage in the pouring rain with thunder and lightning while it was trembling and crying in it’s own feaces and soggy news paper.this isn’t surprising because they’re usually left in their own dirt which attracts rats and makes them very sick which the rats eat! It took the rspca 4 days to react and when they did the neighbour knocked on the door and said that my little plan with the rspca didn’t work and she’s keeping her dogs.I would be happy if she kept her dogs by treating them better but if not shouldn’t they go to a better family? why didn’t the rspca even go into the back garden to see the conditions they were in? even though on the phone they said what the owners were doing was wrong why didn’t they do anything?
PLEASE call the police since the rspca isn’t listening.

i’d phone the police not the RSPCA

take a different route. Take pictures of the conditions and send them or take them in to the RSPCA and tell them it’s been going on for too long and the neighbors are going to kill the dogs if they dont do anything. If they still refuse to do anything, call Animal Control as a last option.

poor things. people like that should not be allowed to keep pets.

I agree with taking pictures and also, if you see something, write it down in a notebook what they were doing, with a time and date and take pictures too if you can. If they need evidence to do something to them, then give them the evidence they need.

That the RSPCA for you they have two faces one they used to show how wonderful they are on TV and the real one when it can be hard to get them to do anything. Call them again say you ae still worried about the dogs. Take picture or video of them when you see the owners are being cruel i.e leaving in rain with no cover. Then keeping calling the RSPCA till they do something. These dogs can’t ask for help so it is great you are.

I would suggest the same as Ally, take pictures, phone the police, the dog wardens, the RSPCA, the local paper, blue cross, & the dogs trust. Send the pictures to all of the above, along with details, dates, times, etc. Explain to the local paper that you have been trying to get something done about this for the last 2 yrs. Your neighbour isn’t going to be too friendly, but the animals are clearly being abused & if people don’t stand up for them, then who else is going to. Keep trying.
