While this has been fruitful in developed regions such as North America, Western Europe and some other countries, mobile SPAM messages (SMS sent to mobile subscribers without a legitimate and explicit opt-in by the subscriber) remain an issue in many other parts or the world, partly due to the carriers selling their member databases to third parties.
Mobile Marketing via SMS has expanded rapidly in Europe and Asia as a new channel to reach the consumer. SMS initially received negative media coverage in many parts of Europe for being a new form of spam as some advertisers purchased lists and sent unsolicited content to consumer’s phones; however, as guidelines are put in place by the mobile operators, SMS has become the most popular branch of the Mobile Marketing industry with several 100 million advertising SMS sent out every month in Europe alone.

Brands have begun to treat the mobile shortcode as a mobile domain name allowing the consumer to text message the brand at an event, in store and off any traditional media.
SMS services typically run off a short code, but sending text messages to an email address is another methodology. Short codes are 5 or 6 digit numbers that have been assigned by all the mobile operators in a given country for the use of brand campaign and other consumer services. The mobile operators vet every application before provisioning and monitor the service to make sure it does not diverge from its original service description.
Besides short codes, inbound SMS is very often based on long numbers (international number format, e.g. +44 7624 805000), which can be used in place of short codes or premium-rated short messages for SMS reception in several applications, such as product promotions and campaigns. Long numbers are internationally available, as well as enabling businesses to have their own number, rather than short codes which are usually shared across a number of brands. Additionally, long numbers are non-premium inbound numbers.

A suburb of the Sunshine Coastal Area, Twin Waters of Queensland Australia has something for every vacationer and visitor. The district is big on welcoming tourists for their nightlife, shopping and many water activities. There are several all inclusive resorts so that friend or families don’t have to roam far unless they want to see some of the sights or maybe visit a museum that is outside of the realm of the all inclusive resort, but there are plenty other options for Twin Waters accommodation to choose from too.

If there is a golfer or two in the group visiting this beautiful area, then they will love the Mount Coolum Golf Club. They sponsor a Monthly Metal competition on the first Saturday of every month, usually, and there are various prizes to be won. This is an 18 hole championship golf course with a par 72 range. But this isn’t the only game in town; they are located near the Sunshine Coast Golf, Golf Qld and Golf Australia.

The Mooloolaba beach area is filled with sun kissed sand and surf, perfect for all types of water sports. There is windsurfing, snorkeling, and boogie boarding, deep sea fishing or simply lying on the beautiful white beach and soaking up the sun with a drink and a good book. There are many comfortable lounge chairs one can rent for the afternoon. And Friday afternoons and evenings are considered party central in this area.

Also along the Mooloolaba region is the famous Australia Zoo which was home to the late Croc Hunter and now his lovely daughter, Bindi. This is a great zoo in which to spend a day with the many different animals. And spend the day one will; an individual can play, pet and feed many of the different species and breeds of wildlife.

The Big Kart Track provided a great adrenalin rush with its hairpin turns, wild bends and navigating the chicanes through the small roadways for a fun afternoon. This aria is also known for its restaurants, different shops and perhaps best of all, its architectural structures to be admired and some to visit while on holiday out this way. A family would also enjoy a trip to Aussie World amusement park with over 30 games and rides to entertain and thrill even the youngest of guests.

Another place to visit near the Waters of Twin is Cotton Tree which is the areas best kept secret. It lies between the river opening and the ocean and the Sunday morning market showcases handicrafts, produce and many different wares for sale to locals and tourists. This is also a highly sought after holiday destination.

One of the best places to sightsee in Queensland is the Big Pineapple which is one of the major iconic symbols of the region of the Sunshine Coastal area for many, many years. The plantation train travels with it’s tourists throughout the farm to see all the sights and learn all there is to learn about pineapples.

A view from a nice drive along Blackall Range is what a lot of the tourists want to come to the Twin Waters region for. It is one of the most beautiful in the land. There are also stops along the way for Flaxton which gives visitors examples of the early ‘Queenslanders’ and a look at their solidly made early timber houses with lots of character and large verandas. The ridge sits pretty high and it not far so for a nice day trip, vacationers can enjoy the view and not have to travel far from their hotel or resort.
