How many people think that Mixed Martial Arts should have it’s own category on here?

It think it should. Sorting through the "Martial Arts" section is just dumb!

Sure, but you can”t get Y/A to separate the section. It would do not good anyway. We would still have the guys that are here to cause trouble, the guys that post in the wrong section, and the guys that like to post hateful things in any section. And there are others, that would still be around.

Don’t waste your time. you can’t fix this. It has been tried many times, Y/A will not change the section.

I think it should I mean a I classify Wrestling and Boxing as martial arts and they have a another section because many people only like Boxing or Wrestling. So MMA should have theirs as well.

There are more than enough questions to justify an MMA section.

Yes I think it should too. I also think the ‘Martial Arts’ section is getting too broad. We should divide it into ‘Mixed Martial Arts’, ‘Striking Arts’, ‘Grappling Arts’ and ‘Armed Arts’.

I think it should, but to be fair, MMA make up most of the questions in the martial art forums. So without MMA questions in this forum, it’ll be kinda dead lol.

Suppose to be, but this is not fair idea if it will be insisted to happen, ironically, MMA is not a style, so if we discuss about certain topics then it will fall only on single issue, to talk what are the things they do and what techniques (style) they focus and concentrate.

We are aware that MMA are consist of different arts, it must be BJJ, Judo, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Sambo, Wrestling, Karate and so many others that been adopt to adhere on this most competitive combat sports that been existing.

So for me, it is not the most necessary option.

    Good luck

This section gets very little traffic, has very few regular contributors, and even fewer posters who are actually knowledgeable.

There are about a dozen or so people who are pretty much recognized as not being full of BS here. There is no justification for dividing a section that is already one of Y!Answers smallest sections to begin with.

Even with the popularity of MMA as a sport, notice that the section it is in, is still very small. It doesn’t justify having a section all to itself when the section that it is in is already incredibly slow and small.
