Whose the King?
Can a man beat a woman at Martial Arts? This is a question people have so here is a take on it. Bobby Riggs (1970′s) tennis star boasted he could beat anybody at the game. History tells us Billy Jean King beat him– several times. The press had a field day and women the world over felt good. Lucky for Mixed Martial Arts- mixed does not mean mixed sexes. Jodi Short lost her front teeth during amateur sparring bout in Missouri. Bernice Downs of Illinois would compete as hard with the guys as with women. Malia Dacascos could out kick anyone.
How the Karate Kids see it… We see boys cheer their favorite in a girl -verse- girl match. The same boys are disappointed when a girl beats a boy sparring. Boys forget and we should remind them, it s usually the moms that gets the them to class ( enter Soccer Moms)So sexism starts at a early age, we need to watch for it . Full Contact-
One lady locally signed up for a Mixed Martial Art tournament and died from head wounds. So the money she was to earn for her fee was not worth it to the family. Life is short as it is. Head gear should be required for all contact sports. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has it’s Divas. Strong, sexy, staged showmanship. At least there they get paid for their bruises. . We hope we don’t see any Mixed-Martial Arts Promotions( Man vs Women) soon. Let women preserve their bodies .Entering and leaving motherhood is enough. Even smashed on beer no one wants to see their wives, daughters and mothers pummeled. Women boxers work as hard as anybody. They are just amusement to the Main Event ( the big boys).
Shown above is Schimabuku’s Isshinryu emblem . We’ve never seen a female displayed more prominent on a uniform. A warrior not concubine . The idea is under the right circumstances, as to protect her offspring the female is most formidable. Theres your answer. Now how can women protect themselves wearing stilleto shoes?! Out of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, whose philosophy made the most sense for america in the 1960s?
whose philosophy made the most sense for america in the 1960′s out of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X?
Martin Luther King’s philosophy stood to work eventually with less animosity. Malcolm X’s strategy might have worked faster with far greater violence and animosity. We’ll never know, as Malcolm X was assassinated so early in his work.

King wanted equality thru "peaceful means"!
Malcolm X wanted it thru riots and war if needed!

Martin Luther King. The way I would describe it is to say society is a system where groups mutually agree to have equal rights. New groups, history shows, are never added into this agreement solely based on the fact that they are equal; the negative effects of them not being equal in society have to outweigh the positive. Martin Luther King’s philosophy was nonviolent. Violence would only alienate those who disagreed with the groups, rather than actually changing anything. Martin Luther King’s philosophy, if enacted effectively, would put enormous economic and political pressure on society to change, which is just as powerful in large numbers, only it doesn’t have the negative side effect of causing people to disagree with the cause without actually considering it as Malcolm X’s violence tended to do.
Of course, it is impossible to tell whose is better–we’ll never know. But I think the ignorance that results from violence would outweigh the immediate changes on society. Again, we’re really only guessing.

In my opinion, Dr. King’s philosophy of non-violent protest in pursuit of equal rights offered the best route to avoid both racial strife and polarization. There is certainly a case to be made that when the non-violent route wasn’t working (or not doing so fast enough) that Malcolm X’s approach would certainly move things along. I suspect that choosing which philosophy made the most "sense" will depend on whether you are black or not, and on whether you think the equal rights movement has achieved its objectives.

Many young people of today do not understand that at the time that MLK began his series of marches, African-Americans were segregated from the whites into sub standard conditions. They were not allowed to use the same public rest rooms, eat at the same restaurants, work at well paying jobs. MLK scared the tar out of white America. Malcolm X brought the worst out in people. The KKK type groups were screaming "see?,see? told you so, they’re no good" but they hardly could say anything about MLK. I think that MLK, because of the attitudes of that day, worked at softening the hearts and winning over white Americans unlike any since the days of Fredrick Douglass. These two men ALONE, (Douglass/King) were the most directly responsible, be he good or bad, for the African-American president in the white house today. Violence and destruction, as preached by Malcolm X, and hate groups like the New B.P. or the KKK can only destroy this country, Douglass and especially Martin Luther King Jr. made this country BETTER.

Malcolm X proved very popular with young black males who had grown disollusioned with society and the lack of change. However MLK’s methods and ideas were the only ones which could potentially achieve lasting change (as they could be backed by the white community).
Here are my ideas about his main changes/impact on society:
•Change
?Able to keep movement relevant as it changed through 1950s and 60s
•Unified movement
•Passion and conviction
?Powerful speeches and oratory
•Commitment
?In spite of personal attacks against his family
•Inspiration
?Inspired greater involvement; supported sit-ins and freed rides
•Spokesperson for CRM
?Effective communicator with mainstream America; non-violence attracted white supporters
•Media
?Non-violence; attracted positive coverage; further demonised e.g. Bull Connor
•Non-violence
?Religious and ideological reasons; practical reasons (i.e. media)
•Political lobbyist
?Nurtured constructive relations with JFK and LBJ
