UFC 121 Cain Velasquez Destroys and upsets Brock Lesnar By TKO – First Mexican American MMA Champ
rock Lesnar By TKO – First Mexican American MMA Champ
Nearly 20,000 Ultimate Fighting Championship fans showed up Saturday night to the Honda Center hoping to celebrate a historic victory. Cain Velasquez did not disappoint.
Touted as a can’t-miss prospect almost from the first day he entered the sport of mixed martial arts, Velasquez fulfilled those high expectations at UFC 121. In front of a sold-out crowd, many of whom were proudly waving Mexican flags, Velasquez became the first Mexican-American to win a heavyweight title in either boxing or MMA, pounding defending champion Brock Lesnar into the mat before referee Herb Dean stopped the contest at 4:12 of the opening round.
A crowd that reached deafening noise levels when Velasquez (9-0) entered the arena somehow turned the volume up even more when the match was haulted and Velasquez had his hand raised.
“I expected him to come out and try to take me down. We prepared for every scenario,” said Velasquez, showing more emotion as the belt was put around his waist than he almost ever has in UFC’s octagon.
Lesnar (5-2) was humble in defeat.
“I expected nothing less. He’s a great fighter,” said Lesnar.
“What can I say? He was better than me tonight.”
The two opened with a titanic exchange of fists and knees as Lesnar came out charging, looking to take down Velasquez. The challenger — an All-American wrestler in college — did what no opponent yet was able to do: prevent the former NCAA wrestling champion from dominating on the mat.
Velasquez (who came into the fight at 240 pounds) fought off the 264-pound Lesnar and turned the fight in his favour for good once he started to land with some shots to Lesnar’s chin. The champion was soon cut under his left eye, although the worst was yet to come.
Velasquez knocked Lesnar so loopy with one attack, it actually spun him 360 degrees. Velasquez pounced on a fallen Lesnar, who survived the first onslaught on the mat but couldn’t keep Velasquez at bay much longer. He refused to let Lesnar regain his composure, pounding him until the finish.

Philosophy #115: Violent Fighting is Not Martial Arts (Freddie’s Modern Kung Fu 2010)
Throwing two angry people in a cage to fight is not Martial Arts. If that is the case, gang violence would be considered martial arts as well, but it is not, neither has anything to do with martial arts, it is just violence.
Freddie has founded Freddies Modern Kung Fu in 2009, an online Martial Arts Academy on YouTube, that expresses his interpretation of Bruce Lees Tao of Jeet Kune Do. His private underground school is located in Chicago, IL.
Fitness and Philosophy lessons are open to the public. Survival technique lessons are only open to official disciples. All techniques are scientifically proven to be effective and are aimed towards unarmed street survival combat. Freddie hand selects disciples to personally train that have the proper discipline and compassionate heart to become successful in his art.
If you are interested in becoming an online disciple of Freddies Modern Kung Fu, check his playlist Becoming a Disciple and email Freddie at FreddiesModernKungFu@live.com to determine if this art is right for you. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion company based in the United States that hosts numerous events worldwide. It is the most successful MMA promotion in the world with many of the sport’s top fighters under contract.[2] The UFC has five weight-divisions and enforces the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts.[3] Dana White serves as the president of the UFC; Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta control its parent company, Zuffa, LLC.[4][5][6]
Inspired by vale tudo tournaments in Brazil,[7] the UFC and the sport of MMA have roots in the ancient Olympic combat sport of Pankration in 648 B.C.[8] The UFC held its first competition in Denver, Colorado in 1993. Showcasing fighters of different disciplines—including boxing, Brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, Muay Thai and other styles—the UFC sought to identify the most effective martial art in a real fight. After a period of political backlash, the UFC gradually underwent reform by embracing stricter rules and achieving sanctioning with State Athletic Commissions.
With a cable-television deal and expansion into Canada, Europe, Australia[9] the Middle East[10] and new markets within the United States, the UFC as of 2010 has gained in popularity, along with greater mainstream-media coverage. As of 2010 viewers can access UFC programming on pay-per-view television, in the U.S. on Spike and Versus, in the United Kingdom and Ireland on ESPN, as well as in over 130 countries and 20 different languages worldwide.[11] I Dont Not Own Any Content of This Video. ~#
