Breaking News!!! Rampage out..need surgery. Machida vs Evans at UFC 98 May 23rd. Thoughts?
I really cant wait for this main event. I am just dying to see Evans get his face smashed it. I would be surprised if Evans even gets a good shot it. This I think will be total domination from Machida. What do you think??

I wouldn’t be shocked in Machida won, but don’t expect to see Evans
"get his face smashed." Machida is a counter-striker, and excellent at it. I haven’t seen him smash anybody. He cut Bonner up pretty thoroughly with very crisp, precise punching. But Bonner is nowhere near the athlete that Evans is. I think Evans still gets better every time out and wouldn’t be surprised to see him win in a pretty one-sided manner. But I could also see Machida beating him in similar manner to how he beat Ortiz. Not exactly a thrilling main event.

It’s too bad though. Although I thought Machida deserved a crack at Evans first, I REALLY wanted to see Rampage vs. Evans. That in my opinion would’ve made a spectacular fight.
As for the fight, I think it’ll be quite often a stalemate. They’re both counterstrikers (Evans not as much, but he still is). This’ll be a close one for sure, but I’m pulling for Evans on this one. I think he can do it.
