@mmapicks At this point, I’d probably favor Maynard over Penn from their recent performances. Penn would really have to show me something in his next fight for me to pick otherwise. However, I disagree with your comments on Fitch. Just because he doesn’t have fast twitch muscle fibers and doesn’t hit lateral drops, doesn’t mean he’s not athletic. He rarely gets tired and he can always finish takedowns on guys. His BJJ is also very good but he doesn’t use it offensively.

If Maynard were to fight Penn, who would win? Maynard is undefeated.
Fitch is a very good wrestler, however not althletic, doesn’t finish fights, his hands and his BJJ are avg. at best, but he still can beat basically everyone except GSP… what does this tell us?

You should do a video on the dominance of wrestlers. Edgar and Maynard at 155, GSP, Kosheck, Fitch at 170 (although GSP is not a traditional wrestler), Sonnen, Lesnar (who is still basically an MMA rookie), etc.
BJ is obviously one of the best there is on the ground and on the feet… but he ain’t a wrestler and actually has weak takedowns. BJ has had problems with wrestlers : Hughes, GSP, Edgar. Was BJ not motivated or could this have been a fight he knew he wouldn’t win?

Had a great sigh of relief after Couture tapped out Toney, and Edgar looked great although I really think Maynard will take it to Edgar. Be interesting to see what Penn does in his next fight, if he is done or not. Great video man.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, when I roll with purple belts I get absolutely tooled, but the one and only time I rolled with a belt was a whole different thing. It was like he was Obi-Wan Kenobi telling me to give up submissions each and every second.

Joe Lauzon passed guard like it was NOTHING. The armbar at the end wasn’t even the worst part. A legitimate black belt doesn’t get anally raped on the ground like that by a purple belt..

Penn looked depressed and shit. He wasn’t bouncing around and smacking him self in the face. At the ref instructions he just stood straight up, he usually in his fighting stance ready to punch his opponent. Other than that Edgar did a great job.
